Legacy Systems Support and Cloud-based Solutions for the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS)

Orizon provided central management, IT administration, application development, and support services for GSA FAS customers nationwide. This included managing and administering the GSA FAS server infrastructure for IBM applications and solutions, and providing support to over 1,100 GSA FAS users at various sites throughout the country.

We were responsible for the implementation and management of the GSA FAS IBM CommonStore infrastructure, and provided IBM Lotus/Domino performance management, database administration, and application support for Lotus Domino and other groupware, messaging, database, and collaborative applications.

We migrated numerous legacy Lotus Notes applications to newer portal and cloud based platforms including open source Java, Salesforce, and Google. In addition, we served as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the FAS Enterprise Domino System (FEDS) and supported the GSA FAS leadership by evaluating and recommending the use of available and emerging technologies to enhance the Government’s current computing infrastructure.
