People Plus HR and Systems Operation Support for the Environmental Protection Agency
Orizon was awarded the PeoplePlus Human Resources (PPL-HR) and Systems Operations Support Services contract to provide HR and systems support services for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This system is the department’s centralized system for HR and employee benefits data and manages the core human resource activities to support EPA’s human capital management needs. It uses Oracle’s PeopleSoft human resource, benefits, time and labor modules. Our work included:
- Analyzing and developing new system requirements.
- Providing operations and maintenance support for the PPL-HR production and development environments.
- Maintaining and developing HR reports for EPA staff agency-wide.
- Performing PeoplePlus and Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
- Identifying activities and implementing transition to HR Line of Business (LOB).
- Implementing additional system modules.
- Maintaining and modifying as required the Enterprise Human Resources Integration (EHRI) inbound and outbound interfaces (e.g. OPM, OMB).
- Maintaining all functional and technical documentation.
- Performing system customization/upgrades to satisfy agency requests, new interfaces, software upgrades or comply with new EPA/Federal HR policies.
- Performing all configuration management activities.
- Serve as Tier 3 technical support for troubleshooting and correcting HR system problems.
