Solutions Architecture and Development Support to the Executive Office of the President – Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP)

 
After adopting Microsoft SharePoint as an enterprise-wide platform, the Executive Office of the President (EOP), ONDCP awarded Orizon a prime contract for Microsoft SharePoint development and deployment support. Orizon’s support includes providing architecture and deployment support and developing enterprise ONDCP business applications to improve operations using Microsoft SharePoint technology. We develop and conduct user and administration training in both a classroom setting and via one-on-one sessions to the ONDCP user community, content providers, and site administrators.

 

Orizon provides technical SharePoint system administration support and guidance to effectively maintain newly developed software solutions. We provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support for the sustained operation of the applications we develop. This support includes monitoring system performance, providing advanced troubleshooting support, resolution of functional and performance-related problems, developing and implementing emergency fixes, supporting ONDCP with the installation and configuration of upgrades to underlying technologies that are required for system operation, providing system enhancements, and assisting the Government with system disaster recovery preparation and testing.
 
As part of our Agile development approach, we gather requirements, conduct stakeholder review sessions, develop visual mockups, and prototype user interfaces for customer reviews. During development we engage stakeholders early and often, propose design and deployment best practices, and develop a complete set of required Technical Review Board, Change Advisory Board, Information assurance (IA) design, and technical solution deployment documentation for the EOP OCIO. We complete the required application life cycle documentation, based on EOP guidelines, and work closely with the EOP OCIO to deploy new solutions and support the Government’s IA testing/audit requirements.
