Orizon Awarded a Contract at the Department of Treasury - Bureau of Engraving and Printing to Support Mobile Solutions

July 15, 2019 – Orizon has been awarded a follow-on contract by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) to provide development and maintenance support for mobile solutions.

Orizon was awarded a follow-on contract by BEP to support and maintain the next generation of the BEP EyeNote® mobile app. The app, built by Orizon for the Apple iOS, allows users to scan a U.S. bank note, and communicates the value back to the user. EyeNote implements advanced image recognition technology to determine a U.S. bank note’s denomination and assists the blind or visually impaired with the ability to positively identify U.S. currency using Apple mobile and tablet devices.

Orizon will maintain and support the app to ensure interoperability with future Apple software and mobile phone and tablet hardware releases.
