Description
The successful candidate’s principal responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with other technical staff and client stakeholders to review functional specifications and design of innovative mobile applications.
- Assisting the Project Manager in requirements analysis and management.
- Developing new Android apps for federal clients.
- Working with third-party APIs and SDKs to integrate new functionality/capabilities.
- Writing unit and UI tests to identify problems.
- Participating in the testing of code for robustness, usability, and reliability.
- Performing bug fixes and improve application performance.
- Developing and maintaining app documentation and code configurations.
- Assist with launching and publishing apps.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience building high-quality Android apps.
- A strong understanding of the full life cycle of app development using Google’s Developer Portal.
- Experience publishing mobile apps via the Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of the nuances of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to effectively write code for a multitude of Android devices.
- Experience with development tools like Android Studio, Android SDK, and Git.
