Orizon was awarded the Programming and Analytical Support for Web Development maintenance and support contract, and served as the primary software developer and support contractor for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP since 2005. These services included systems analysis; software application programming; software development and maintenance support; software integration; database design, development, and administration support; training; information/data processing support; and web-based enhancements.

Orizon assisted the BEP in converting legacy application systems to modern computing platforms. We migrated over 60 legacy systems and developed, maintained, and supported over 30 enterprise applications and over 500 websites. Orizon provided database administration (DBA) and server maintenance support for BEP’s database Production, Development, and Test environments. Our administration tasks included monitoring performance and bottlenecks, performing database backups and data recovery, maintaining database designs and models, ensuring proper security and database and system access, and performing database optimization and tuning. We managed over 600 SQL databases.

We served as first-level support for all issues related to the Microsoft SharePoint, SQL Server, BMC Remedy, and Project Server production, development, and test environments. Orizon provided end-user technical support and responded to support requests that included application and database related system issues. Orizon worked closely with the BEP Office of IT Operations staff to troubleshoot these issues quickly and verify that the applications and sites were operational.
