System Development and IT Support for the General Services Administration

Orizon provided the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) with system development and IT support services to FAS customers nationwide for over six years. This included providing end user support to over 1100 FAS users and operational support for the GSA FAS the computing infrastructure consisting of more than 1,500 applications and 25 servers. As part of GSA’s technology migration effort, we migrated hundreds of legacy applications to the cloud and developed new enterprise systems using the Java/Oracle, Salesforce and Google platforms.

We were responsible for maintaining newly migrated cloud-based applications and served as the FEDS Service Desk for legacy IBM systems. Orizon managed the legacy FAS content management and IBM content archiving infrastructures and provided system administration for all portal and content management applications.

We led information systems security activities for FAS systems and oversee the information security activities for compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Assessment and Authorization (A&A) / Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
